Atty. Solomon M. Hermosura assumed office as Government Corporate Counsel on March 4, 2024. He brings with him more than three decades of experience in legal practice, corporate governance, and executive leadership.

Before entering government service, he spent 28 years with the Ayala Group, where he concurrently held several key leadership roles. These included serving as Senior Managing Director, Chief Legal Officer, Group Head of Corporate Governance, Corporate Secretary, Compliance Officer, and Data Protection Officer of Ayala Corporation; Group General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Ayala Land; Corporate Secretary and Management Committee member of Manila Water Company; and Corporate Secretary of Globe Telecom, ACEN Corporation, AREIT, Integrated Micro-Electronics, and Ayala Foundation. He was also a member of the Ayala Corporation Management Committee, the Ayala Group Management Committee, and the boards of several Ayala companies.

Before joining the Ayala Group, Atty. Hermosura spent over nine years in private practice, primarily with Roco, Buñag, Kapunan, Migallos & Jardeleza. He earned his Bachelor of Laws degree from San Beda College of Law, graduating valedictorian of the Class of 1986, and placed third in the 1986 Philippine Bar Examinations. He served on the faculty of the San Beda University College of Law from 1987 to 2000 and again from 2018 to 2023.
