On 22 to 26 September 2025, Deputy Government Corporate Counsel (DGCC) Aniceto Calubaquib Jr. and Asst. Government Corporate Counsel Manuel F. Santos Jr. went on official travel to The Netherlands to participate in a global lawyers’ summit and to attend official meetings with Hague-based international legal organizations in order to strengthen the OGCC’s international network and to identify and strengthen areas of mutual cooperation.

On 25 September 2025, DGCC Calubaquib and AGCC Santos had an exploratory meeting with the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA), represented by its Deputy Secretary-General Garth Schoefield, Legal Counsel Atty. Sandra Mae Magalang and Asst Legal Counsel Atty. Brenda Karanja. The next day, on 26 September 2025, they met with The Hague Academy of International Law (THAIL), represented by its Secretary-General Jean-Marc Thouvenin. The objectives of the meetings include establishing international linkages and exploring future collaboration for capacity-building activities for OGCC lawyers and in-house counsels of OGCC’s client government corporations in the field of international commercial arbitration and other areas of international law.
